The materials presented here are the synthesis of ethnographic journeys conducted in an area of investigation that the Authorhave been exploring for several years: Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and the western Alpine arc. By resorting  to ethnographic observation and the oral testimoniescollected, which constitute the fundamental documentation of her work, theAuthor will attempt to answer some questions.
